When the firestorms of January 2025 raged through the Pacific Palisades and Altadena, they left nearly 30 people dead and historic destruction in their wake. Recovery will be a long, uphill road and rebuilding will take years and dedicated planning. This podcast takes a deep dive into the circumstances that led to the fires, how people can prepare for future wildfires - which are inevitable - and how Angeleños can come together to rebuild our beautiful city.

Jason Brooks

Jason Brooks is the CEO and co-founder of Fire Aside, a public-private technology platform helping communities adapt and prepare for wildfire. Fire Aside is now used by local fire agencies, non-profits and Home Owner Associations in 10 states and has delivered millions of personalized recommendations to property owners. Jason has previously been an executive and founder in several data and technology companies. He has an MBA from the University of Florida and was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Uzbekistan.
